Kristy Avery - Canine Connections Coach

Kristy Avery is a highly skilled and compassionate canine connections coach and behaviour training specialist, dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between dogs and their humans. From an early age, she demonstrated a natural affinity for animals, paired with a calm, intuitive nature and a deep commitment to understanding the human–canine relationship.

After an 18-year career in the property industry, Kristy transitioned into the canine world in 2010, developing her skills through volunteer work with the SPCA and competitive obedience with the All Breeds Obedience Club. Competing with her first Rhodesian Ridgeback, Shayla, she earned numerous ribbons, reinforcing her passion for training and behaviour.

In 2014, Kristy joined renowned trainer Mark Vette, working in both behaviour rehabilitation and the film and television industry, including as a trainer on the TV series Purina Pound Pups to Dog Stars. Driven by her vision of a deeper, more meaningful bond between humans and dogs, she founded Connected Companions in 2017.

Kristy continues to expand her knowledge, attending seminars led by internationally recognised trainers and continues progressing through Ivan Balabanov’s Training Without Conflict certification programme. Skilled in addressing a wide range of temperaments and behavioural challenges, she provides a professional, empathetic, and transformative approach, ensuring both dogs and humans thrive together.

Brax Avery - Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of Connected Companions, Brax brings a unique blend of instinct, intuition, and unwavering commitment to organisational wellbeing. With a leadership style grounded in calm confidence and relational awareness, He oversees company culture, staff morale, and daily operational rhythms with exceptional consistency.

A natural-born leader, Brax demonstrates sharp observational skills, an impressive ability to read emotional environments, and an unparalleled talent for conflict de-escalation—most often achieved through strategic presence, intentional eye contact, or timely consequences. His reliability, loyalty, and consistent work ethic set the tone across the organisation.

With a strong focus on team cohesion and human–canine collaboration, Brax ensures that all members of Connected Companions maintain alignment with the company’s core values of connection, clarity, and compassionate leadership. His commitment to fostering balanced environments, and a healthy work–play dynamic continues to guide the organisation’s success.

Roxie Avery - Law Enforcement Officer

Roxie is a highly skilled and dedicated Law Enforcement Officer, renowned for her keen instincts, unwavering focus, and exceptional work ethic. With a natural aptitude for observation and rapid decision-making, she excels in high-pressure situations, ensuring the safety and security of her team and community.

Trained to respond with precision and reliability, Roxie demonstrates expertise in detection, tracking, and tactical support, consistently performing her duties with professionalism and composure. Her calm yet assertive presence allows her to navigate complex environments while maintaining control and efficiency.

Beyond her operational skills, Roxie brings discipline, loyalty, and a strong sense of purpose to every assignment. Her ability to work seamlessly with handlers and colleagues underscores her value as both a protector and a trusted partner in law enforcement operations.

Beetle Avery - Entertainment Manager

Beetle is the dynamic force behind all things fun and engaging, serving as Entertainment Manager with creativity, energy, and impeccable timing. With a natural ability to read the room—and the pack—Beetle ensures that every interaction is lively, enjoyable, and memorable.

From organising play sessions to orchestrating interactive activities, Beetle thrives on creating joy, excitement and keeping spirits lifted across the team. Her intuitive understanding of moods and social cues allows her to tailor experiences that engage, motivate, and uplift everyone around her.

Zola Avery - Pack Happiness Officer

Zola is the heartbeat of the pack, dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing, joy, and emotional balance of every member. With an intuitive understanding of moods and social dynamics, she fosters an environment where all pack members feel safe, secure, and truly content.

Her natural talent for encouraging positive interactions, nurturing confidence, and supporting emotional balance makes her a central figure in the pack’s harmony. Zola knows when to provide comfort, when to invite play, and when to simply be present, creating a sense of stability and happiness that permeates the group.
